AUCKLAND NETBALL | APPOINTED BOARD MEMBER

The Auckland Netball Centre Inc Board invites applications for the position of an Appointed Board Member. The appointment is for an initial 3-year term.

Auckland Netball Centre Inc is a significant contributor to Netball in New Zealand.  The largest centre in New Zealand is home to over 985 affiliated teams and over 28,836 participants across our two sites at St Johns and Windmill Road.

Auckland Netball Centre’s vision is to deliver the “ultimate experience” though our multipurpose sporting, recreation and community hubs.

This role requires a governance focus with responsibility for the strategic direction for the organisation, monitoring the performance of all aspects of the business, including financial performance and fostering relationships with a range of stakeholders.

We are seeking applicants with experience either in marketing and revenue generation in the not for profit or sport sector or experience of multisport facilities development.

Become a Volunteer

Auckland Netball are looking for volunteers to assist us at our busy netball centre. Even if it’s for an hour every couple of weeks, any volunteer help would be appreciated. Below are some examples of where you could assist us:

  • Folding bibs / leaflets
  • Writing up scorecards
  • Prizegivings – sorting team prizes
  • Helping at our netball tournaments
  • Handing out sponsors offers / flyers
  • Selling netballs / merchandise
  • Uniform collection, washing and drying
  • Writing up match reports
