  • Netball Development Manager job description | 30 Hours

    Auckland Netball, situated in St Johns, only 10 minutes from the City centre, is a significant contributor to netball in New Zealand. The largest centre in New Zealand is home to over 982 affiliated teams and 28,099 members and participants. 
     
    Sadly, our Netball Development Manager, Leigh Ashton is leaving us for some exciting family opportunities which means there is an opening to be part of a fun, professional team in a dynamic and busy organisation.
     
    The Netball Development Manager will be responsible for developing, leading and implementing a progressive plan for coaching, umpire and player development areas of the organisation that will deliver on objectives outlined in the strategic and annual plans.
     
    Key areas of responsibility include Coach Development and Education, Umpire Development and initiatives to increase capacity and capability and to oversee Auckland Netball’s representative programmes.
     
    This role will work closely with a Player Welfare Liaison, ensuring player welfare continue to be enhanced.
     
    The Netball Development Manager will work alongside the Programme Development Officer whose role it is to build and diversity participants of Auckland Netball development programmes, achieving targets through quality service delivery and promotional activities to the wider community.
     
    This role requires leadership with the ability to be able to establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.  An understanding of sport performance, development and player welfare would also be an added advantage.
     
    This role requires leadership with the ability to be able to establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will need to have creativity, an eye for detail, lead a team of volunteers have excellent administrative skills and demonstrate a high level of customer service delivery.
