    KEY INFORMATION

Secondary School game days are Saturday mornings between 8:00am and 1:25pm.
Games are 40 minutes in duration (4 x 10 minute quarters).

    Grades include Premier grades 1 & 2, Senior A – G, Year 10 A – G, and Year 9 A – H.

    Premier Grades play on the indoor courts at 8:30am | 9:30am | 10:30am | 11:30am
Premier 1 & 2 are grades of 12 teams each.

    All other Grades play outdoors at 8am | 8:55am | 9:50am | 10:45am | 11:40am | 12:35pm
Games are centrally timed with no injury time. Grades consist of 10-12 teams divided into 2 sections of 5-6 teams.

    UMPIRING DETAILS

Umpires are provided for Premier 1 & 2 Grades only and the cost is built into the 2020 fees.

For All Other Grades, teams are responsible for umpiring their own game. As umpiring is the team’s responsibility, a team not supplying an umpire for their game will play short to enable one member of the team to umpire.

    Representative Teams

Netball Northern Zone offers our players representation of regional level in the following teams:

    • Northern Mystics
    • Northern Stars
    • Netball Northern Zone

Auckland Netball also offers an opportunity for players to represent the centre in the following teams:

    • Under 19 x 1 team
    • Under 17 x 2 teams
    • Under 15 x 2 teams
    • Year 9 x 2 teams

Trials for Auckland Netball age group teams will be held in May and closer to that time nomination forms will be emailed to your school for completion.

    Please note:

Players can play netball at more than one Netball Centre as long as those centres fall within the Northern Zone region. Players must be affiliated either by playing for School or Club to nominate to trial for an Auckland Netball representative age group team or trial for a National Championship team (NPC). If you intend on trialing for a representative team and Auckland is NOT your primary centre, please indicate what centre you will be trialing for. Those that trial for Auckland and are not selected can apply for a release to trial at another centre.
